Given that HR is such a broad field, my long-term career goal would be to work in Employee Relations. Perhaps it’s my background in psychology, but I love the idea of being the liaison between employees and employers as they work towards strengthening their relationships. I encourage others by identify their strengths and building up their positive self-image. My interpersonal skills allow me to instantly connect with others and maintain rapport. The aforementioned also makes me great at solving problems because my authenticity and empathy make people more receptive to constructive feedback. I know there is more to human resources than just relating to people, but these are some of my greatest assets. Ideally, I would like to find opportunities that boast these skills, like a Culture and People position, but realistically, I am open to all positions that will provide invaluable HR experience.
