Open to remote candidates.** Summary and Qualifications: This role reports to the Director, Total Rewards Strategy for Mars Vet Health (MVH), this role will be critical in the strategic partnership with MVH business units to plan, develop, and implement new and revised Benefits programs, policies, and procedures. This role will: Ensure alignment of all aspects of Benefits in the relevant business units, with the MVH People Strategy, & Total Rewards strategy appropriate for their organization, as well as the governance process, based on strong appreciation for Mars, Incorporated’s culture, Five Principles, strategies and philosophies. Essential Responsibilities and Tasks: Accountable for setting MVH benefits strategy in collaboration with the Director, business units, and Mars benefits team. Lead the development and implementation of benefits programs such as healthcare, retirement, life insurance, PTO, and leave, based on external information and internal analytics and practices. Engage and facilitate collection of input from business units. Represent the MVH business units and align with global Mars Benefits and other stakeholders. Key liaison for all benefits-related consultancy work. Project management office (PMO) for benefits integration activities, including the management of vendors and resolution of data/systems/operations and administrative issues. Serve as the primary internal expert on benefits integration for all retirement plans and for all health and welfare plans and programs. With this knowledge, provide guidance and direction on all benefits integration related matters to P&O associates, vendors, and MVH business units. Ownership of key benefits initiatives in support of MVH with stakeholders outside of MVH Partner with business units to establish short/medium- and long-term benefit priorities and roadmaps. Provide oversight, write and develop benefit integration related processes and procedures, monitor/report costs, including vendor costs, benefit costs and department costs as related to benefit implementation. Co-create Total Rewards solutions with the Director and/or business partners Engage business units to perform and deliver benefit solutions. Lead governance processes as related to benefits for MVH as defined by Mars and ATBC governance framework. Ultimate accountability for business unit relationships. Experience, Education and/or Training: Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant areas (e.g., HR, Statistics, Business) 10+ years relevant professional experience, preferably in HR, compensation. Demonstrated ability to work interdependently, working in partnership across boundaries with strong influencing skills while building trusting and credible relationships – understanding a diverse Associate population. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work constructively and effectively in a team environment – especially across geographies and time zones. Experience working directly with and influencing senior leaders. Strong appreciation for Mars, Incorporated’s culture, Five Principles, strategies and philosophies.
