In this role, you will be a partner on the I&D Compliance & Analytics team providing thought leadership, consultation, training and subject matter expertise to ensure Recruitment compliance with federal and local Equal Employment Opportunity laws. You will act as a staffing subject matter expert monitoring and tracking Talent Acquisition adherence to external hiring regulatory guidelines, improving hiring and selection processes and the candidate experience. You will ensure data integrity and advocate for TA reporting needs to enhance Recruitment capability.

As a manager, EEO recruitment compliance , you will...

  • Work with Talent Acquisition Management team to ensure interview and promotion processes and practices comply with Starbucks Equal Employment Opportunity commitment and other employment laws and regulations.
  • Report on Recruitment compliance with internal recruiting processes and external hiring regulatory guidelines, including (but not limited to) OFCCP, EEO/AA, ADAA, etc.
  • Prepare, communicate and educate partners on changes in EEO policies and practices within the organization.
  • Work cross functionally with partnering business units as the TA Compliance subject matter expert
  • Lead in establishing processes, procedures and policies by continually identifying and implementing improvements that increase recruitment effectiveness
  • Design self-audit assessments and framework around Recruitment selection, hiring and recordkeeping practices.
  • Develop deep understanding of Talent Acquisition data flow as well as candidate and recruiter behavior
  • Leverage existing reports and dashboards to provide TA Senior Leadership with actionable insights regarding key diversity metrics and data trends to improve performance, outreach and positive recruitment
  • Lean on I&D Compliance & Analytics, Analytics and Insights partners to identify reporting gaps and build additional reports or dashboards to enhance Recruitment capability
  • Understand industry benchmarks and identify, develop and recommend effective sourcing best practices to improve recruitment strategies to ensure Starbucks attracts and retains high-quality diverse candidates.
  • Consult with hiring managers and department or function leaders on recruitment and interview process improvements and competitive hiring and promotional practices for the future state of the organization.
  • Monitor and evaluate all aspects of selection processes, from a compliance perspective, to include reviewing job requirements/descriptions, interview to hiring stages, onboarding processes and candidate to partner retention strategies.
  • Keep current on all external regulatory and compliance changes and maintains state and federal documentation.
  • Coordinate internal/external requests for EEO information.
  • Develop and maintain tracking and monitoring processes to facilitate organizational compliance.



We'd love to hear from people with:

  • Knowledge of human resources processes, risk/compliance management concepts, and/or employment laws including Federal, State and Local Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action (AA) legislation and regulations
  • 5+ years of experience in a Talent Acquisition, Compliance, or enterprise risk management role
  • Bachelor's degree MS Office proficiency, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical/data/interpreting complex statistical analysis skills
  • Experience developing policies, guidelines and procedures and managing process improvements
  • Experience working in a global, large-scale, complex, and fast-paced environment
  • Experience building cross-functional partnerships/influencing partners to act without having a direct reporting relationship
  • Flexibility to adjust to ever-changing market needs; able to think on your feet
  • Ability to communicate effectively, balance multiple tasks, set priorities, and solve problems independently
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and drive forward results
  • Previous experience with SAP, Taleo and Org 360
  • Problem solver, able to troubleshoot issues independently; sense of accountability and sound professional judgment
