OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
Responsible for supporting Optum clinical sites by attracting the best qualified job applicants to fill job openings for replacement or newly-created positions and for coordinating recruitment and employment functions, including but not limited to: applicant sourcing and screening, referral of qualified candidates to appropriate manager/supervisor, advertising and requisition tracking, and preparation of progress reports for management.
Partner with hiring managers to identify appropriate sourcing strategies, interview and selection process to secure high-quality hires timely
Writes recruitment advertisements and places them in appropriate print media, professional journals or internet job boards.
Maintains frequent phone or e-mail contact with final selected candidates pending hiring decision and follows-up with candidates not selected.
Participates in regional operation calls to provide status updates on open positions and candidates in progress.
Creates new and maintains networking contacts for sourcing candidates.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
COVID-19 Work Location Requirement: You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location, however, may be required to work from home temporarily due to space limitations.
If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e. entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders.
High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent. Includes special certification required for specific jobs.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Over 3 years of high volume recruitment experience (from sourcing candidates to extending job offers).
Looking for executive presence.
Looking for someone with executive presence, familiar with the California market, and with prior recruiting experience in a healthcare environment, recruiting for patient-facing roles.
Previous experience working with Workday applicant tracking system.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws impacting the recruitment function.
Working knowledge of general Human Resources policies and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
