We are building fast here at Zillow Home Loans (ZHL) and our recruiting team is leading the charge! We are an action-oriented team, and we make things happen. Expect sourcing and cold-calling as part of your daily practice. We are primarily focused on hiring fulfillment and sales professionals who drive the simplified home lending process we seek to build at ZHL. From generating a pipeline to maintaining a successful offer acceptance rate, you own the entire candidate process. By demonstrating your knowledge of our clients' hiring needs and search requirements, you effectively align candidates with the roles in which they will be most successful. On this team, thinking about things in new ways is strongly supported.
  • Naturally, you excel at building rapport and understanding the necessity of cultivating these relationships with hiring managers and your team.
  • You are resourceful. You design and execute recruiting strategies to attract and hire top talent.
  • You own it. You take responsibility for the entire recruiting process. You uncover the needs of your hiring managers, create a clear profile and job description, execute a sourcing plan and deliver the talent they need to help their organization thrive.
  • You are coachable. You know enough to recognize there is still more to learn and you desire to be part of a culture of learning.


This role has been categorized as a Remote position. "Remote" employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.

Who you are
  • 2+ years' experience as a full life-cycle recruiter. Mortgage industry experience highly preferred
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and hyper-growth environment
  • Confident in communication and interaction with team members and business partners
  • Creative approach to sourcing and maintaining a solid pipeline of mortgage talent.
  • Stays abreast of trends, developments, and changes within the industry
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within team and cross functionally
  • Knows how and when to leverage relationships to tackle problems and meet objectives
  • Demonstrates an ability to comprehend the nuances and responsibilities of each job description and effectively ask questions to vet candidate viability
  • Can work within recruiting software such as Workday, SmashFly, and Textio, or similar platforms to streamline recruiting efforts
  • Accountable to self and team with a sense of humor
