Position Summary

We currently have an opportunity for a temporary Senior HR Coordinator in the Leaves of Absence (LOA) department. The temporary HR Coordinator will be responsible for supporting several leave of absence functions.

Key Accountabilities
  • Administration of new leave of absence claims, including running reports, identifying discrepancies, and updating systems
  • Responsible for the return to work process, including communication with employees and the timely and accurate updates to systems
  • Managing requests and processing LOA forms promptly and within state guidelines
  • Creation and distribution of LOA reporting to key stakeholders
  • Research and respond to requests, including medical-related employee terminations
  • Ensure confidentiality of employee records and compliance with HIPAA privacy laws
  • Performs other LOA administration functions and projects, as needed
Skills/Abilities/Experience & Qualifications
  • Remote position
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience as a coordinator or administrator (in HR preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must be detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn quickly and exercise good judgment
  • Flexible with a team-oriented approach
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and provide timely follow up
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, a plus
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week
  • Ability to maintain a sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time and operate computer equipment
  • Ability to handle repetitive motion necessary for typing and filing
