Due to significant growth, we are seeking a few HR professionals who possesses current knowledge across the HR landscape to supplement our existing HR department. In this role, you will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level to support employees and programs across the company, across all levels of the organization.
Working closely with the Vice President, HR and Contracts and Executive Vice President, you will provide full-service professional HR support in the areas of employee relations, engagement/retention of staff, training, compensation/ benefits administration, communications, and benefits. You will also assist with the development, prioritization, and execution of multiple HR and company initiatives. You must be able to multitask and pivot directions when situations change. This is a "hands-on" position, so be prepared to roll up your sleeves and dive in!
This position is 100% remote.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, Functions, and Tasks
Perform benefits administration, in partnership with our benefits broker, including employee questions/assistance, claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees.
Manage and maintain employee records, both paper and electronic.
Administer various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain affirmative action program; file EEO-1, VETS, and other required reports annually; and maintains related records, reports, and logs
Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
Conduct new-employee orientations and employee offboarding.
Partner with outside vendors for benefits and other employee services.
Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
Participate in department staff meetings and project and company-wide meetings.
Promote and foster a culture that is productive, open and empowering and coach others to behave and make decisions in line with our principles.
Understand the business strategy and help drive key HR programs to further the business objective
Applies consulting skills to support the business functional areas.
Partners closely with leadership to improve the effectiveness and performance of both individuals and teams
Establish credibility throughout the organization through effective listening, problem solving, communication and follow through.
Act as change agent for leadership in the development of solutions through organizational development and cultural and process-orientated perspectives..
Provides performance management guidance to leaders (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
Collect, analyze, and articulate business requirements and challenges, and translate them into executable HR initiatives
Provide meaningful partnership experiences. Work with teams day to day to drive engagement, build capability, coach, support and advise to enhance a positive work environment.
Partner with HR and functional leaders to implement innovative and creative approaches to talent acquisition
Lead full life-cycle recruitment of assigned local and remote positions.
Supports the performance management, talent review and compensation process across the business (using the tools provided), including identifying high performing talent and ensuring development plans are in place.
• A bachelor's degree in HR or related business discipline, or equivalent
• 5+ years of HR experience in a generalist capacity
• Proficiency in MS Office suite- Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Platform-Gmail, Docs, Sheet
• Experience administrating an HCM/HRIS system
• Experience working within multiple benefit carrier systems
Current industry certification (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR) is strongly desired, as is experience working in a federal contracting environment.
