Denny's is seeking a savvy Restaurant Management remote recruiter based in Texas to support our Company owned operations, working in close partnership with our Company District Managers and our HR Business Partner team.

The Field Recruiter, based in Texas, will be primarily responsible for recruiting Restaurant Management & Shift Leader positions, building talent pipelines by utilizing a diverse sourcing strategy to include social media platforms, job boards, data mining techniques, job fairs, referrals, networking while continually identifying new pipelines through research. The Field Recruiter will also assist in identifying programs to assist with hourly recruitment in the targeted area.

Essential Functions for the Field Recruiter:
  • Manage the full cycle recruiting process, including screening, interviewing, reference/background checks, salary consults/negotiations and relocation (if applicable) for prospective management candidates for the targeted areas.
  • Develop and execute staffing plans to ensure both internal and external pipeline of highly qualified candidates for multi-unit leadership and in-unit management positions.
  • Intake with the Hiring manager, and partner with the appropriate HR Business Partner as needed, to understand culture and team fit for each opening
  • Develop and effectively utilize a network of regional contacts/partnerships to build a pipeline of candidates for current and future openings; maintain relationships and contact with candidates to encourage continued interest in opportunities with the brand.
  • Work closely with Regional leadership to forecast in-unit management staffing needs and partner with Operations leaders to fill positions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Ops leadership, including DMs and GMs; provide training and coaching in areas to improve their effectiveness in identifying, interviewing and selecting candidates.
  • Identify various recruitment sources and partnerships, including social media outlets and utilize them to solicit candidates for open positions; create ads and media campaigns to encourage candidate engagement with the brand and targeted market (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn), social media community engagement management.
  • Analyze selection and hiring metrics, including time to fill, effectiveness of recruitment sources and adjust recruitment resources accordingly.
  • Ensure all appropriate candidate checks are thoroughly including but not limited to background check and reference checks. Ownership of crew level background adverse action process.
  • Develop, prepare and present recruiting reports and presentations to show progress and effectiveness of recruiting initiatives in the regional area; identify trends and best practices to improve effectiveness.
  • Partner with District Managers to support recruiting initiatives and strategy; include HR team to support the internal promotions initiatives.
  • Partner with others on employment campaigns, creative special event recruiting to meet business needs in acquiring talent.
  • Drive continuous process improvements in a demanding and rapidly changing business environment.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.

Experience:
  • 3-5 years Recruiting and/or HR experience, preferably in the restaurant, hospitality or retail industry.
  • Recruiting leaders in a multi-unit environment a plus.
  • Workday & Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred, but not required.
  • PHR or SPHR certification a plus.


Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of employment laws and recruiting concepts, policies, practices and procedures.
  • Proven success sourcing candidates using variety of methods (social recruiting, events, military, alumni databases, college partnerships and professional networks).
  • Ability to generate a high volume/high quality pipeline of candidates while balancing a high volume workload, under tight timelines.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and strong negotiation skills.
  • Leadership skills and effective analytical, problem solving, process improvement and decision making skills are essential.
  • Must have strong planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to think creatively to develop innovative recruitment strategies.
  • Professional presence, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and self-disciplined, able to work independently.
  • Excellent listening and assessment skills.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to work with all professionals at different levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work with frequently changing priorities and objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
