Founded in 1981, Vesta has grown to one of the top affordable housing property management companies in the country. Currently, we have over 9200 apartment homes in 54 communities spanning 7 states and Washington DC. We continue to grow, with a goal of overseeing 10,000 units by the end of 2020.

As a result of our continuing growth, Vesta is excited to introduce a new and exciting opportunity. We are currently seeking a Remote Recruiter, who will be responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of nationwide recruiting programs, helping ensure that staffing requirements are met to identify, attract and on-board top talent to efficiently and effectively meet dynamic business needs. This individual will specialize in property-level management and maintenance/service positions, as well as corporate support positions. This position will be a fully remote position, requiring travel when it is deemed safe to do so. This individual will be required to be available from 8:30a-5:30p EST. This is an entry level position.

Expectations of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Develop, facilitate and implement all phases of the recruitment process
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
    • Source candidates through effective and efficient recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards and needs of the organization
    • Conduct interviews to identify people to recommend to the hiring managers with a focus on quality
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to support them in the interviewing, selection and hiring process
    • Maintain accurate information in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
    • Attend local job fairs, as needed
    • Perform additional projects as needed by the Human Resources team to further develop processes and tools


Experience and Skills
The ideal candidate will be/have:

  • Ability to manage multiple job openings across the portfolio
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to handle emergency situations and pressure due to complexity and time-sensitivity
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of experience in job screening, hiring practices and talent acquisition
  • Familiarity with Property Management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Relationship developing and influencing skills
  • Ability to connect with people through a variety of media
  • Create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
  • Confidence in making decisions about the fit of a candidate in the Vesta culture
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize and manage numerous openings at one time
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
