This position requires a detail-oriented individual with extensive background in EEO and OFCCP compliance, Affirmative Action plans development and the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a dynamic deadline driven environment.
The EEO/AA Compliance and Outreach Consultant is responsible for the creation, oversight and administration of Stantec’s Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action (AA) plans to ensure organizational compliance with federal, state and local employment laws. This position collaborates with internal stakeholders, government agencies, and external vendors to compile and submit required data.

Your Key Responsibilities
Applies comprehensive knowledge and provides input to the creation and management of Affirmative Action (AA) plans, EEO-1 reports, and compliance certifications to ensure organizational compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action (AA) laws, as well as all other applicable federal, state and local employment laws
Makes recommendations to implement new HR guidelines, policies or programs relating to equitable practices and procedures
Ensures compliance with regulations and legislation relative to the day-to-day operations of Human Resources and the business; proactively working to meet legislative compliance deadlines
Participates in the development and implementation of training and communications around EEO legislation, AA goals, diversity outreach, compliance requirements and record keeping
Partners cross functionally and provides insights and recommendations on legislative and/or policy changes resulting in process and/or reporting requirement or protocols
Researches, analyzes and evaluates legislative changes, best practices in HR compliance solutions, and other external business compliance trends
Maintains an organizational compliance calendar and checklist
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Confident professional with high integrity and strong influence and presentation skills to effectively drive compliance initiatives
Ability to set priorities and work in a constantly changing environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to quickly analyze data
Ability to quickly establish and build effective working relationships
Empowered to remove equity barriers and create change
Advanced communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to engage different audiences
SPHR and/or SHRM designation preferred
Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
5 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Prior experience creating EEO-1, AA & Vets 4212 plans is required
Experience managing OFCCP compliance
Experience conducting data analysis to support workforce trends, AA goals and inclusion & diversity performance metrics
