Remote HR Business Partner Role:
The Remote HR Business Partner will work closely with senior HR Management in supporting the designated company locations, while working from home but being the HR connection for their Region.
Primary contact for team members and managers to areas to ensure a professional level of employee relations and company policies, HRIS support, State and Federal HR compliance.
Conducts weekly meetings with assigned area leaders to discuss HR services and update on employee needs.
Consults with front line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies.
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
Provides day-to-day guidance to front line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
Ensure that new team members complete the onboarding process by assisting with ATS system questions and process to assigned areas.
Ensures all new employee information is entered accurately in HRIS system.
Oversees criminal history and MVR verifications on all new employees on ATS.
Responds to Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) claims filed by terminated employees, by maintaining the Equifax website for tracking of all TWC claims, responding to all questions related to TWC claimants and participating in hearings within all TWC deadlines.
Ensures written documentation is completed for each termination including status forms, reason for termination, supervisor/witness statements, including all other documentation related to the termination.
Processing of Personnel Requisition Forms as requested by managers within 24 hours of receipt date.
Posting of the company’ s job opportunities on recruiting website, as well as internal job postings, classified newspaper ads and ATS, including other sources as identified on the Personnel Requisition form.
Documents statements for team member complaints and reports to HR Director/HR Supervisor for review.
Manages and resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Maintains tracking forms for corrective actions and/or written reprimands.
Provides guidance and input on respective locations reorganization, workforce planning and succession planning.
Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needs.
Provides personnel records for surveys acting as a liaison between area offices and HR.
Maintains updates of State and Federal Law posters for all locations.
Professional level of confidentiality and privacy in handling employee information.
Updates current job descriptions on an annual basis or as needed.
Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
Responsible for recruitment tasks including attending job fairs, posting, reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and postings positions on internal and external sites.
Remote HR Business Partner Background Profile:
The Remote HR Business Partner will have a Bachelor’ s degree in Human Resources OR 5 years’ experience in human resources field
1-2 years’ experience as an HR Generalist – Strong HR Generalist experience
PHR Certification a plus
Knowledge of Federal, State and local employment laws including, but not limited to, ADA, ADEA, Title VII, FMLA and OSHA regulations
Strong employee relations experience
Strong recruiting experience
Must be detail oriented and have outstanding communication skills
Must be able to logically and quickly assess a situation and risks, and make sound decisions
Ability to multitask effectively and efficiently
Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, HRIS and ATS
Great opportunity for work/life balance while working from home, but traveling to sites on an as needed basis – will be the boots on the ground connection for the sites in designated region.
