Position Summary

The Human Resources Associate is responsible for managing a variety of HR projects and ongoing work by providing consulting, support and HR services for multiple clients. As a strategic partner to our clients, you will work closely with professionals and executives at all levels.

Primary Responsibilities

This position is strategic and hands-on with the following responsibilities;

  • Manage the office and support all aspects of human resources client activities including onboarding, off-boarding, benefit/payroll administration, employee relations and general inquires.
  • Implement staffing strategies and provide support to clients with the recruiting and selection of top candidates.
  • Manage the payroll process for clients, establishing best practices that capture and prevent errors while maintaining a high level of accuracy in client payroll processes;
  • Handle employee relations matters, in addition to acting as a coach/counsel to client employees and supervisors in highly sensitive, confidential or complex situations;
  • Administer, maintain and ensure compliance in areas that may include equal opportunity employment, anti-discrimination, health and safety programs as well as federal and state law s and regulations;
  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, emails
  • Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed;
  • Perform other duties, projects and research as assigned by management, president or other senior management.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of 3 years human resources experience
  • Experience as a sole HR practitioner and/or prior consulting experience highly desirable.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

  • Valid CA Driver's License required and proof of driver's liability insurance.


This is a full-time position, and hours of operation for the office are typically Monday through Friday, 8:30a.m. to 5:30p.m.

Work Environment

This job typically operates in a professional office environment at a desk in a well-lighted, air-conditioned cubicle/office, with moderate noise levels - routinely uses standard office equipment. Remote work may be considered.

Travel Requirements

Short-distance travel as needed - approximately 25% travel to and from office to client sites.
