We are looking for seasoned HR Practictioners to work part-time on projects/assignments based on our clients’ requirements.

The perfect candidate desires to work part-time or is a consultant with available hours. Our consultants will average between 15-20 hours per week.

The Responsibilities

  • Works closely with clients to understand and perform an initial assessment of needs; asks thorough questions to understand the "big picture" and the client's ultimate goal(s); collects information about the business to help ensure appropriate solutions can be formulated; crafts proposals based on assessment of client needs.
  • Plans, manages, and executes projects according to establish project plans; ensures deadlines are communicated and followed; communicates deviations from plan with clients and proactively manages work scope changes; tracks project milestones and ensures budget adherence.
  • Addresses and solves problems during project execution to ensure project is completed efficiently and effectively; identifies and resolves issues that could jeopardize client interests, project completion, or project outcomes; ensures quality review processes are followed for each project.
  • Provides creative and innovative solutions to client needs; takes a forward-thinking approach to solution development to make certain that both short- and long-term client needs are met; acts as a trusted advisor to the client.
  • Presents and delivers completed project(s) to clients in a consultative and informative manner; helps the client to understand and interpret outcomes; answers client questions as required; assists with the development of implementation plans and project execution.
  • Communicates regularly with project lead and/or company leadership on the progress of project execution; engages others as necessary to ensure successful project completion.

What You Need To Succeed

  • At least 7 years of Human Resources Manager/Director experience; solid understanding of human resources laws/compliance issues.
  • Experience as a consultant or working with a high degree of autonomy
  • Experience working with a variety of employers (size, industry, etc.) and experience working in a small company.
  • Involvement in a chapter of a human resource or related association highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • One of the following active certifications: PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SCP
  • Must be able to travel within local area up to 75%
  • Strong client relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to lead conversations with executive-level client contacts
  • Excellent analytical and time management skills
  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written including strong skills in persuasion and motivation
