Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist will work closely with Leadership to design people management solutions that drive a productive engaged workforce and meet business operational objectives. The Human Resources Generalist position is a multi-faceted role that touches all aspects of the company’s human resources structure including full cycle recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, organizational development, training, and performance management. This position will work closely with the Company’s PEO to manage benefits.

The successful candidate must be able to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment. You must be personable, possess a high-level of energy and enjoy taking on new challenges.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support development and/or revisions to HR related policies according to objectives of the Company and state/federal regulations.
  • Ensure the Company is compliant with government regulations and partner closely with management to mitigate legal issues.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including posting, sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, and extending offer letters.
  • Conduct new hire orientations to include HR onboarding and first day department rotation.
  • Train management on effective interviewing skills/questions.
  • Develop relationships of trust and provide a positive, helpful and collaborative environment where employees feel welcome.
  • Counsel and assist managers with employee grievances and conflict resolution.
  • Oversee the performance management process ensuring 90 day and annual performance reviews are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Coach and train management on how to write effective reviews.
  • Drive the Progressive Discipline/Corrective Action Process when warranted.
  • Recommend Performance Improvement Plans as needed.
  • Manage employment terminations- exit paperwork and exit interviews.
  • Partner with Leadership and the PEO for benefits administration.
  • Support and coordinate the preparation and maintenance of reports related to business driven HR metrics, which may include headcount, turnover, Monthly Organization Reports, etc.
  • Maintain and ensure the integrity and confidentiality of all HR and employee data and records.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or related field required.
  • PHR certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar HR role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with all levels of employees.
  • Knowledge of basic HR principles and practices in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Excellent administrative, organizational, presentation and implementation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task, and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Suite products.
  • Ability to work within a team atmosphere and independently.
