As an HR Director, you will be a key member of the People team, leading in a variety of domains including benefits and compliance, HR processes, DEI, compensation and data integrity. You will be responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of global HR, as well as driving strategic HR initiatives that support company growth and professional development.  We are a globally distributed team and this role has worldwide responsibility. The successful candidate will be a passionate, collaborative and creative leader for HR at Playco.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and development of a best-in-class HR department to support employees globally. 
  • Partner with teams to design employee-centric service processes and systems
  • Oversee all HR employees globally. 
  • Manage our global total rewards program including benefits, equity and compensation. 
  • Create and improve HR processes and policies including onboarding, offboarding, performance management and diversity/equity/inclusion. 
  • Continually develop and improve our company-wide job leveling system and career path development. 
  • Oversee global employee relations and compliance.
  • Foster an innovative and creative culture where employees can achieve high levels of job satisfaction and productivity.
  • Work closely with our legal department to navigate employment law across the globe.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of leadership experience in total rewards (compensation, benefits and equity), compliance, and diversity/equity/inclusion, HR systems and analytics, and employee relations. Global experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading teams in a fast growing startup environment.
  • Strategy development experience around HR-specific OKRs, culture, policies and processes at a leadership level.
  • Experience in building, coaching and leading a high performing HR team, including global remote teams.
  • Ability to work flexibly and calmly in order to effectively respond to multiple changing business priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work across global time zones.

Bonus

  • HR experience in a gaming company and bilingual in Japanese and English are a big plus!
